Cost of a Service Animal
The cost of training a service dog is estimated to be
about $35,000. The IRS does not allow non profit SD programs
to “sell” their dogs. They can, however ask for donations
and/or ask the recipient to raise funds, usually around $10,000.
This is one reason self or partial training is attractive
